During this event we will cover an over-view of our year for the West Torontol Chapter at our Annual Business Meeting (ABM), followed by recognition of our members that were designated in 2023 and our volunteers.

We will follow the ABM with the follow session:

In this session designed for HR leaders and organizational change-makers, we delve into the critical success factors that enable Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to not only take root but flourish within organizations. Drawing on insights from workplaces that have successfully integrated DEI into their core operations, this workshop aims to equip participants with the knowledge and strategies necessary to navigate the common pitfalls that can derail these initiatives

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

  1. Identify and Understand the Eight Critical Success Factors for DEI Initiatives: Participants will learn about the eight essential elements that must be addressed to lay a strong foundation for DEI efforts. This objective includes understanding how to assess organizational readiness, secure leadership commitment, and align DEI strategies with broader business goals.
  2. Develop Strategies to Overcome Common DEI Challenges: Attendees will gain insights into the typical challenges and barriers that can hinder DEI progress, such as resistance to change, lack of engagement, and insufficient resources. The session will provide practical strategies for overcoming these obstacles, ensuring that DEI initiatives are resilient and impactful.
  3. Create Actionable DEI Implementation Plans: Participants will learn how to translate the insights and strategies discussed during the session into actionable plans tailored to their organizational context. This objective focuses on equipping attendees with the tools to initiate, sustain, and measure the impact of DEI initiatives, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and inclusive culture.
